Ordered the $19 sushi takeout. $19 for just 5 pieces of sushi isn’t a great value, even after paying extra for avocado on the spider roll. The taste wasn’t great either, and I’m still not full at all.

food was amazing. served at relatively quick speed. apps usually come in pairs, so if you're a party of three, don't expect three pieces (just two). sushi/specialty rolls came in 5-8 as it's listed in the menu. soy rolls they add a dollar though per roll (or sushi, i forgot), be careful. they do have a waste policy on their sign, i forgot what it was. i had some soup spilled on me as they attempted to serve it, and they didn't always notice our papers were done already, but not end of the world stuff. the food taste made up for it! it's about mid $30s on a saturday buffet in the late afternoon/early evening. bill is paid by those electronic machines they bring to your face at your table. bathroom is upstairs. water is served in paper cups. i saw another group and ourself seemed to have to manually ask for water refills otherwise. ice cream options at the day were just green tea and strawberry (which wasn't even listed in the menu) but i loved the strawberry. i would come back here.

I went there for my birthday with my girlfriend. We had a great time; the staff was always attentive, and the food was truly good and fresh, everything is made to order. Just a heads up: the time isn't unlimited for the all you can eat, you have 90 minutes.

We had an awesome experience at East Hana JC. We went for the all-you-can-eat option, and it was absolutely worth it—the quality and variety really stood out. The sushi was fresh, well-prepared, and consistently good across the board. From classic nigiri to specialty rolls, everything we tried hit the mark. The non-sushi options were just as impressive, which isn’t always the case with AYCE spots—definitely more than an afterthought here. Service was quick and attentive, and the pacing worked well so nothing felt rushed or overwhelming. You can tell they take pride in both the food and the experience. Already looking forward to coming back—this is easily one of the better AYCE sushi spots in Jersey City.

Super long wait to be served and very unhappy with our experience this evening. We have been customers of East Hana JC for years! They finally had a new option for all you can eat for the past year! We understand their policy regarding additional charges for the rolls we dont get to consume! Usually no more than about 7pcs. However, this evening we were told we cant take the few pcs home. We aren't happy with being charged for the pieces only to learn that it would be thrown in the trash. We have always been allowed to pay for the few pieces and take them home.
